Speaker Support Centre
The Speaker Support Centre is an integral part of the Adelaide Convention Centre conference presentation solution. It provides a central point where presenters can upload their presentations and have them checked for consistency and formatting prior to delivery. If you require assistance, our friendly and highly qualified technical staff are on hand.
At the Adelaide Convention Centre we recognise the importance of having your speaker support service available in close proximity to your conference facilities, so we arrange purpose built centres in the most convenient locations for use at your event.
With extensive overhead catwalks, complex rigging can be installed by our in-house crew. Lights, scenery, banners - even cars and machinery - can be suspended with ease.
The centre provides a comprehensive CCTV system which is permanently monitored from our on-site security control room and modern electronic card key door lock system.
All of our staff are professional licensed security officers and receive additional training specific to our venue and to event management operations.
The Adelaide Convention Centre can provide security risk management services on request and for Federal and State Government clients we can provide protective security risk management services compliant with Protective Security Management Frameworks.
We have extensive experience managing events which have a high security profile and we have staff with the appropriate National Security clearances.

In the planning stages of an event, our Event Planning Managers liaise directly with the event organiser to ascertain all known special needs for delegates. These are then fed into a single database, accessible by all customer service and operating departments, to ensure that all requirements are planned for and met during the actual running of the event.
Both car parks have parking bays set aside close to the elevators for people with disabilities and these elevators provide wheelchair access from the car parks, streets and all floors.
Signage throughout the building is large and clear to ensure it can be read by all. Staff are trained to speak clearly when making announcements to public areas and hearing induction loops for all areas are available on request.
Our chefs can cater for individual dietary requirements with advance notice. For example, religious diets such as Halal and Kosher; medical diets such as low cholesterol, diabetic, gluten free and celiac and special diets such as vegetarian.

The Adelaide Convention Centre is the number 1 venue in Adelaide for events and meetings.
