The Adelaide Convention Centre is leading the nation with its commitment to sustainability with a host of awards recognising our efforts. We were the first centre in Australia to achieve EarthCheck Silver Certification and we have also been bestowed with Climate Action Innovator status.
The Centre was also proud to win the MEA Award for Corporate Social Responsibility, the Silver Qantas Award for Excellence in Sustainable Tourism, the Gold IMEX Green Supplier Award (presented in Frankfurt), Highly Commended in the EIBTM Sustainable Initiative of the Year and the AIPC Innovation Award for our work in minimising the volume of organic waste going to landfill.
We’ve found scores of ways to cut our carbon emissions:
- purchasing “green” electricity
- we run a native tree growing project which not only offsets our environmental footprint but creates healthy, functioning ecosystems
- on-site composting (and worm farm)

Carbon Calculator
The Adelaide Convention Centre is committed to minimising the carbon footprint associated with our activities and we have implemeted a range of measures to achieve this. During 2007/08 and again in 2009/10 we commissioned carbon audits of our operation to provide us with the data to calculate the emissions of any function or event held within the Centre.

CX Roadshow
The CX Roadshow of 2012 awards Adelaide Convention Centre 'BEST VENUE' of tour. We enjoyed service that easily surpassed all other states, Adelaide Convention Centre is definitely the BEST of all the centres across Australia! We return in 2013!
